Serenity in the Silence...

I really love taking photos of benches it seems. I guess to me it's the idea of sitting at watching the world go by that appeals me to them. The chance to slow down is something we all seem to forget, so when its presented to us, we can do nothing but look at it from afar. I find benches are just snapshots of possibility, and I have a few more I hope to snap when I get to the beach again. This here was taken at the Botanic's during a lazy afternoon.

Enjoy!

I Feel Like...

Here's a quick snap I did, with an object in its natural location, that didn't make it to the final part of the assignment. I love this chicken! It's so quirky and I'm glad the picture did it justice. I felt no need to fiddle with the colours in this one either. It did take a long time to get the right perspective, and scenery correct. This would be 1/55 chicken photos I took.
Enjoy!

Found Wonders 1

The first of my University photography projects to make it to blog! I really loved this project! The main gist of the briefing was to find something on location, ranging from things in nature, to debris etc and then change how it is viewed through the process of taking it into the studio. Not only were we able to go out at find just all these wonderful bits and pieces and make them something new, we also got to give them a new life in a new setting. I had a lot of fun going around and finding various things around the house and in the garden. I plan on doing this a few more times, in my own time, but for now I've put up just the final chosen images.
This was a shell found in one of my garden beds, there was nothing spectacular about it at all...until I changed perspective, suddenly it became a really exciting shot! I just love how it turned out. I only had to do a few touch ups in photo shop for both images. I also loved how the studio changed the nature of the object. It really did create a new life. Oh well! Enough rambling from me, the world is just
 beautiful sometimes!
Enjoy!

Primality

Having seen the playful nature of these kittens for a few weeks now, I love that I got to capture this photo. There's so many times that I will look around and just see these cats chasing each other, purely for the thrill of attacking, playfully, and showing love in a strange, yet cheerfully abusive, but not hurtful, manner. They spend a lot of time creating this primal game in which the goal is to better each other, until they are tired and all fall asleep at the same time.
Enjoy!

Bubble Up

So many things in this world seem to go unnoticed. You might be thinking "Why would someone take a picture of the condensation? How boring!", well my thoughts are that everything in life has its value and beauty, everything was created to function and everything should have its limelight, yes even droplets of water. I just love how the colour shifts in the liquid, and how the water forms a tiny wall, much like that of stone that you see. I chose to put this up as I just found it really fascinating...who knows, maybe I should get a macro lens!

Welcome yet again...

"What's this?" I hear you ask. It's another blog! I have come to the conclusion that it is probably best to separate my photography works from my Graphic Novel, illustrations and animations. So here I will solely put up my photography pieces, and I'll aim to upload all my blogs regularly!
Here I will have a mixture of pictures, original and PhotoShopped. Here's one of my sister that I had a play around with. I will get photos from my course at Uni up as well!
Enjoy!
